AI Education Expert (m/f/d) for the European AI Factory HammerHAI

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Developing and planning the AI Factory's (AIF) portfolio of education & training offers within a friendly and open work environment in a highly motivated, international team.
• Designing and organizing educational events, trainings and training series, collaborating with other trainers.
• Ability and willingness to contribute with your knowledge to educational (and consultancy) offers for, primarily, manufacturing and engineering SMEs and start-ups.
• Analysing the requirements and needs of targeted user groups with respect to training (and consulting).
• Collaborating within the corresponding work package of the AIF.
• Fostering contact with collaboration partners as well as stakeholders from the European AI ecosystem, relying on your friendly personality and communication skills.
• Supporting AI talent development in Europe and Germany by means of training and consulting within the AIF's ecosystem.
• Opportunities to work with national and European partners on novel AI projects from private and academic sectors.
• Maintaining relationships with technology providers and system developers (hardware/software), as well as educational partners and providers when brokering training events.

Your Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications: PhD or Master's degree in computer or data science, or other areas of scientific computing with at least 2 years of applied data analytics and machine learning/AI experience as senior engineer/data analyst in research or enterprise environments.

Other Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience designing and organising training events and series as well as conducting your own training events.
• Extensive knowledge about and practical skills applying Machine Learning/AI applications, frameworks, methods and models (e.g. Python, PyTorch, JAX, etc.).
• Willingness to keep up with current developments and to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency working in Linux-based environments.
• Excellent English and preferably German presentation and writing skills.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Git-based version control systems like GitLab or GitHub.
• Customer relationship management know-how.
• Experience working at or with start-ups/small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Conditions

Working time: full time (40 hrs) / part-time possible, flexible working model with electronic time recording. Contract duration: end of Q1/2028, further employment is intended. Remuneration: up to E 13, see Entgelttabelle TV-L. Annual leave: 30 days (24.12. + 31.12. additionally day off); overtime is compensated by additional time off.
