Operations Manager - Simulation (All Genders)

STARK
Munich, DEOn-siteMid

About the Role

At Stark, we forge the future of European and national security through cutting-edge, AI-driven technology and unmatched engineering precision. As a premier defence technology company, our mission is clear: to equip NATO Allies and their partners with next-generation autonomous defence platforms and advanced AI-driven software built to perform in the world’s most demanding environments. We believe that true security stems from relentless innovation. By combining elite engineering talent with agile technology and an AI-native operational culture, Stark turns complex defence challenges into field-tested, multi-domain solutions.

WHY JOIN US

  • The software and systems you work on directly protect personnel and defend European and national sovereignty.
  • You will work alongside industry-leading minds on autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and secure cyber platforms.
  • We foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment where bold ideas are supported by serious R&D backing.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Mission Simulation is STARK’s digital proving ground — the tactical environment where our entire ecosystem of UAVs, surface vessels, and EW systems converges. The Mission Simulation team is a small, specialized group based in Munich, working closely with our platform and C2 teams to integrate all multi-domain assets into high-fidelity, Software-in-the-Loop simulators. We move fast, ship realistic environments, and build for three core purposes: rigorous testing, high-stakes demos, and tactical training. There is no room for gamification. We simulate the reality of combat — from complex swarm logic to EW degradation — ensuring that developers can fail fast, and real soldiers can train safely before hitting the battlefield.

YOUR MISSION

As our Operations Manager for Simulation, you will own the end-to-end delivery and logistics of our simulation products. You will lead the operational planning for both internal milestones and external customer deployments. By closely managing deadlines, coordinating hardware supply chains, and acting as the central communication hub between engineering, field service, and the customer, you ensure our simulation environments are delivered flawlessly and on time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO AT STARK

  • Manage the end-to-end project timelines and logistics for all simulation deployments, including high-impact customer demonstrations, trade shows, and permanent military installations.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Mission Simulation engineers, IT Systems Technicians, and Field Service Engineers to ensure all hardware and software components are assembled and ready for shipping.
  • Lead all operational communication with external customers and partners regarding delivery schedules, site prerequisites, and installation planning.
  • Track project milestones rigorously, proactively identifying logistical bottlenecks or supply chain delays and implementing immediate mitigation strategies.
  • Organize the physical logistics, shipping, and customs clearance of high-value, sensitive simulation hardware to domestic and international military sites.
  • Establish and scale robust operational workflows and inventory management processes to support the rapid growth of STARK's simulation deployments globally.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE MISSION

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Operations Management, Project Management, or Logistics (ideally handling complex hardware/software products).
  • Proven ability to manage strict deadlines and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills with practical experience using modern project management and ERP tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, SAP).
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills and a highly structured, proactive problem-solving mindset.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Background in event logistics or managing complex field deployments.
  • Fluent English (C1 preferred). German language skills are advantageous but not required. If you're interested in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected on the description above, please send us your CV in English . We're looking forward to meeting you!

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Due to the nature of our work in the defence sector, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for this position. Details will be provided during the recruitment process.
