About the Role

, we're looking for you as Head of Finance (m/f/d) at our offices in Deggendorf or Munich . Ready to help make industry more efficient? Then we’re excited to meet you! As Head of Finance, you will take on both operational and strategic financial responsibility in a fast-growing tech company in its early scaling phase. Your focus will be on building a scalable finance infrastructure, implementing professional reporting processes, and preparing well-founded budgets and forecasts. You will work strategically, yet hands-on, laying the foundation for future growth.

Your Mission

Reporting & Controlling

• You build a professional, transparent reporting structure for management and investors
• You establish a controlling system with relevant SaaS KPIs (CAC, LTV, Churn, ARR, MRR, Unit Economics)
• You keep track of business development, identify opportunities early and derive concrete recommendations - including optimization of the revenue engine (sales targets, quotas, commission models)
• You analyze customer relationships and margin profiles and support contract processes

Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting

• You create detailed budgets and business plans that reflect our growth
• You own rolling forecasts and ensure solid liquidity planning
• You develop planning scenarios that provide a sound basis for strategic decisions
• You actively monitor and manage budget compliance

Finance Infrastructure & Processes

• You build and optimize scalable business processes that translate seamlessly into future-proof finance operations
• You implement and continuously improve finance tools and systems
• You ensure clean, efficient accounting integration without friction
• You own monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB in close collaboration with our tax advisors

Stakeholder Management & Strategic Sparring

• You communicate at eye level with investors, auditors and tax advisors
• You act as a trusted sparring partner for management on strategic finance topics
• You actively prepare us for future funding rounds or exit processes

Team & Leadership

You build and lead a finance team over time - You collaborate closely with other departments and actively contribute to establishing a data-driven company culture

Your Profile

• Must-have:
• You hold a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Controlling
• You bring at least 3 years of professional experience and first leadership experience in finance - ideally in tech, SaaS or scale-up environments
• You have a proven track record of building reporting systems and finance processes from scratch
• You have solid knowledge in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• You are confident working with relevant tools - from Excel/Google Sheets and Power BI to accounting software
• You work hands-on, roll up your sleeves and don't shy away from operational work
• You think analytically and can translate numbers into clear, decision-relevant insights Nice-to-have:
• You have experience with funding rounds
• You are familiar with grant acquisition and public funding
• You have previously implemented finance systems
• You bring legal knowledge in corporate governance, company and contract law - e.g. through previous roles in a legal environment
