About the Role

This role will be part of the RI Property & Casualty Tower for Group Technology, responsible for delivering business value by managing IT products and executing change projects for the RI P&C business. The Tower maintains key relationships with units involved in underwriting and claims management, and oversees IT products for Munich Re Trading Limited, which develops risk transfer solutions. Additionally, it collaborates closely with finance and digital innovation teams to combine services and data, supporting the expansion of business use cases.The RI Property & Casualty (P&C) IT Tower delivers business value through management of IT products including execution of change projects, and delivery of agile IT product management, application development and IT operational support.

The product and project portfolio of IT Business Solutions RI P&C covers all underwriting, pricing and claims management solutions for all Non-Life Reinsurance lines of business.The subsection UW Platform Treaty / Facultative & Corporate provides both project and product services for the applications contained in the Underwriting Platform (UWPF).To complement our teams of recognized IT experts, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals, here for a Business Analyst supporting individual pricing systems. In this role you will have the responsibility to define the business requirements for the system together with our business partners in Corporate Underwriting.This position will be located in Munich.Your JobResponsible for the analysis of reinsurance underwriting related business processes, identification and initiation of business process improvements in close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical architectureSupporting a requirements team, which provides key analytical skills to discover and understand business problems, document the requirements and acceptance criteria for IT systemsDesign and implementation of test management mechanisms providing a high degree of automationDriving the alignment, assessment, and prioritization of identified demands within the respective business units and thus driving the related project and product backlogs together with project managementEnd to end alignment with several external/internal stakeholdersEnsuring a consistent, integrated and resilient target system and data landscape to enable cost efficient digital businessesYour ProfileUniversity degree, preferably in Computer Engineering / IT or similar qualificationUnderstanding of reinsurance core business processes including experience in managing various stakeholdersDemonstrable experience in analysis of business demands, deriving of system requirements, translating into system solutions and describing the requirements in the product backlog and updating the product documentationTrack record of successful implementations that delivered value to the business, resulting in measurable business process improvementsDemonstrable experience in documenting requirements as use cases, user stories, including modeling in e.g. UML using Sparx Enterprise ArchitectA valid and recent Requirements Engineering certification like IREB would be desirableGood knowledge and experience in Munich Re´s Product Management methodology and willingness to successfully support all product lifecycle tasks for the pricing systems Several years of experience in IT, preferably in application development and hence in-depth knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle in an agile modeStrong analytical, facilitation, presentation and multidisciplinary communication skillsConsulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and sharingExcellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levelsA high degree of commitment and the willingness and ability to master the various tasks are essentialBusiness acumen – able to easily grasp business topics and to view and present things from a business perspective rather than ITIdeally excellent command of German and EnglishApplication InstructionsIn order to consider your application, we require your application to be submitted via our online applicant portal.
