About the Role

The People Partner / Site HR Manager is the HR leader responsible for our recently acquired Solid Board plants Schwarzenberg, Hauenstein and Leipzig, and its ~300 employees. This role will drive a positive & productive culture, an environment of trust and accountability, and deliver HR excellence and process improvement. This role is the primary point of contact for the managers and employees and provides expertise and guidance in the areas of culture and performance and talent management, talent development and learning, compensation, conflict management, employee relations and leadership coachingYour mission: Serve as a strong functional partner and active member of the Site Leadership team (=OpCo) to drive cohesive decision-making, foster collaboration, and drive the development and execution of key HR initiatives that align with business goals and Mondi HR strategyProvide dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriateProvide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope to HR Business Partners; navigates employees and manager to Payroll when it is the more appropriate resourcePartner closely with relevant HR Business Partners (Business Segment/Country or Region/Payroll) and HR CoE professionals to drive a cohesive and aligned HR agenda and execute business-specific HR strategiesProvide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environmentLead key HR processes including performance, talent management, compensation planning, onboarding, new manager assimilation etc. incl. trainingPartner with HR Business Partners and HR CoE’s to align on and execute relevant HR projects or initiatives as needed across multiple client groups at siteProvide guidance and leadership for all union/works council relations and ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolvedEnsure all HR matters are handled fairly and consistently with local laws and regulations and our company compliance regulations Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and careYour profile:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in a Human Resources related areaMinimum of 5 years of professional work experience in a responsible HR role preferably in an industry environmentSound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements, knowledge of union/employee relations and works council management Developed communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to influence others by presenting sound and logical arguments tailored to the audienceHands-on self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and work independently while being able to effectively navigate and partner in a matrix environmentStrong problem-solving skills and capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completionExcellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational and change agent skillsPassionate, employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping employees succeedApproachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levelsStrong customer service focus, with a high level of responsivenessSupportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment; ability to diffuse a tense situationApplies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, & confidentialityStrong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvementFluency in German and English, both written and spoken Our offer:A meaningful role with impact on our future HR setupA collaborative and inclusive work culture that values continuous learning and improvementA strong focus on professional development through trainingA work environment where innovation and people are at the core of everything we doDuration: unlimited contractStart: immediate start possible Extent: full-time, 40 hoursBenefits:Learning & DevelopmentEvents for employeesParkingGet in touch:We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
