About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Engineer (d/m/w) to join our dynamic team at MADSACK. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into our media operations, developing intelligent solutions that enhance journalistic workflows, data analysis, and content generation. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product owners, editors, and developers, to design, implement, and optimize AI-based tools and infrastructure. Your expertise will directly influence how MADSACK leverages AI to create smarter, more efficient, and impactful media products. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience with a focus on technology. You should have proven experience in developing digital products, particularly with AI applications, and a solid understanding of language models, prompt engineering, and framework tools such as LangGraph or similar agent frameworks. Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and deployment methodologies including GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a commitment to building stable and scalable solutions are crucial. Proficiency in German at a minimum C1 level, along with flexibility to occasionally visit our Hannover location, is required.

Responsibilities

Develop AI-driven solutions using LangGraph, Anthropic SDK, and other relevant frameworks, translating departmental needs into functional products.Select appropriate tools, models, and architectures, ensuring optimal input and output quality for various applications.Analyze existing AI applications, identify areas for improvement, and define innovative solutions spanning machine learning and generative AI domains.Build and maintain the infrastructure supporting AI solutions, including Kubernetes clusters on AWS and Azure, automated deployment workflows, and observability tools such as Grafana and Loki.Manage the entire lifecycle from prototyping to production deployment, utilizing Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices.Collaborate with product owners, editorial teams, and developers to continuously improve AI tools and ensure they meet operational and quality standards.Conduct testing, fine-tuning, monitoring, and ongoing optimization of AI applications and platform stability.
