Set a New Pulse for Healthcare
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Scheduling team in Berlin, giving practitioners their day back by reclaiming the admin time spent creating and managing appointments. You'll work on a platform that books billions of appointments a year for health professionals and patients across Europe.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of 6 to 7 engineers of mixed seniority, owning delivery, quality and production health end to end.
- Define the mission and vision for your team with your product partner, building a defensible roadmap.
- Take part in architecture reviews and help shape the technical direction of the Scheduling stream, including migrating core scheduling capabilities from the monolith into purpose-built services.
- Set and uphold security, reliability, performance and scalability standards.
- Partner with Talent and People teams to recruit, develop and retain engineers.
- Embed AI-assisted engineering into how the team works day to day.
Who You Are
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience and 3 years of engineering management experience, leading a team of 5+ engineers.
- Credible with senior backend engineers on distributed systems, data modelling, latency and throughput.
- Hands-on experience modernising a large legacy system, ideally extracting services from a monolith.
- An effective communicator who translates company goals into team objectives.
