What You Will Be Doing

Developing highly accurate Academic Data Reports and performing systematic evaluations to identify issues, highlight irregularities, and initiate corrective action within 48 hoursLeading urgent-response coaching calls and conducting post-assessment sessions to eliminate obstacles, distinguish knowledge deficits from errors, and sustain student motivationAssessing and integrating new educational applications and content while prototyping AI/LLM solutions to advance learning methods and address targeted challengesCollaborating with leadership to optimize tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor advances

Lead Data Scientist Key Responsibilities

Basic Requirements

Proven track record in data science or comparable position, education, EdTech, or student-support capacity combining analytical and interpersonal elementsCompetence in Google Sheets data operations (lookups, pivot tables, filtering)High emotional intelligence, excellent communication capabilities, and a coaching approach suited to childrenBackground creating workflows and automations using AIMinimum 1 year of direct experience working with K-8 studentsAvailability during mandatory core hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
