Job Description As part of our IT Core Infrastructure Services team, you will be an integral pillar of our VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) rollout and take part in realizing Brainlab’s multi-cloud strategy. With your enthusiasm for cloud-native technologies and architectures and in close collaboration with colleagues across IT and other departments you will design and implement Brainlab’s Private Cloud in accordance with the highest standards of operational quality, IT security, and cost efficiency.
A strong “Infrastructure as Code” mindset and expertise will play a crucial role in laying the foundation for our cutting-edge cloud-infrastructure, empowering our teams to achieve new heights in performance, scalability and reliability. You will guide Brainlab’s Observability journey by applying and conveying SRE principles into our organization using Grafana Cloud.
Qualifications
Degree in computer science or an equivalent technical education with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Deep understanding of IT principles in general (software-defined networking, HA system architectures, security and zero-trust concepts, datacentre operations)
Understanding of software development principles and tooling (CI/CD, micro-service architectures, version control, SCRUM)
Experience in architecting and implementing a VMware Cloud Foundation or equivalent Private Cloud
High proficiency with automation technologies like Ansible, Terraform, Python
Expertise in Linux / Unix; experience with Windows Environments is a plus
Proficiency with managing Containerization Environments (k8s / VKS / OpenShift)
Experience in the Grafana and OpenTelemetry ecosystems is a plus
Experience with AI/ML concepts and technologies is a plus
A strong focus on user experience, service availability, cost efficiency and process optimization
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team
Independent, structured and organised working style; proficiency in project management
Analytical troubleshooting capabilities
Advanced English skills, German is a plus
