Senior Software Engineer - Data

What You'll Do

As (Senior) Software Engineer – Data at Snke, you will help build and scale the data infrastructure that empowers Research & Development teams to automate the testing and evaluation of medical software using large-scale datasets, designing, developing, and operating modern data platforms, pipelines, and services.

You Will

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient data platforms and architectures.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Build, deploy and manage data storage systems and databases, such as Apache Iceberg or MongoDB.
• Develop, optimize and enforce data quality, lineage, compliance, and security controls.
• Collaborate with data analysts to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in data engineering and modern data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, and/or Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience building and operating cloud-based solutions, ideally on AWS.
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR or DICOM is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage.
