WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performance and scalable search services and features.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices within the team.
• Optimize and fine-tune search algorithms and data structures for improved relevance, speed, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the search platform.
• Contribute to the architectural evolution of our microservices-based search system.
• Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and operation.

WHO YOU ARE

• Proven experience (5+ years) in software development, with a strong focus on Java and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with search technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English. German is a plus.
