Intro
In this high-impact role, you will work with leading industrial companies to turn climate targets into decisions, and you will see the result twice: in their P&L and in their emissions curve.
At carbmee, we're building the environmental intelligence platform that the world's largest industrial companies use to measure, manage, and reduce their carbon emissions. We work with companies like Schaeffler, ZF, Knorr Bremse. And we're growing fast!
As (Senior) Consultant, Sustainability Advisory, you'll own client engagements from scoping to delivery, help build the pipeline that funds them, and shape how our advisory offering is packaged as the practice grows.
Your Tasks
- Deliver billable advisory engagements end to end: scoping, hypothesis-driven analysis, quantification, client deliverables and presentation.
- Shape and grow our advisory pipeline: turn client and software conversations into scoped opportunities, and write the proposals that win them, working closely with Sales.
- Help productise the advisory offering: turn recurring client questions into repeatable, priced packages.
- Act as the sustainability subject matter expert for Sales and the Supplier Engagement team: EU regulation (CBAM, CSRD, EUDR, EU ETS), Scope 3 methodology and decarbonisation levers.
- Bridge software and advisory: build advisory work on carbmee's EIS output, feed client needs back into Product.
- Own the operating discipline for your accounts: time tracking, pipeline hygiene, project margin, and monthly input into the consulting scorecard.
Your Profile
- You've spent 3-6 years in a consulting environment, with sustainability as your core focus, not a side project.
- You know carbon accounting and decarbonisation (Scope 1/2/3) and EU regulation (CBAM, CSRD, EUDR, EU ETS) well enough to explain their commercial implications to a client.
- You've owned client-facing workstreams: structuring a problem, quantifying a business case, and presenting it to Head-of or C-level stakeholders.
- You've contributed to proposals or pitches, not just delivery.
- You're at consulting standard in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Sheets.
- You take full ownership. You see something that needs fixing and you fix it.
- You're humble and direct.
- You're comfortable with change and ambiguity.
- Business-fluent English is a must; business-level German is a strong plus, since our advisory client base is predominantly DACH.
