As a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) in the Banking & Payment Operations team, you'll be part of a cross-functional, agile team that ensures smooth and secure loan accounting and cash flows between investors and borrowers. You will collaborate closely with product and business teams, share your expertise with peers, and continuously raise the bar for code quality and technical excellence.

- Ownership & Mentorship: Take responsibility for challenging projects and guide team members through technical mentoring.

- Maximum Flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in Germany, with only two office visits per year required.
Your Profile
- Passionate Developer: You enjoy solving complex problems, writing high-quality software, and contributing ideas in an agile environment.
- Backend Expertise: Several years of hands-on experience with object-oriented programming (preferably PHP) and MySQL databases.
- Cloud & Containerization Know-How: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven or service-oriented architectures is a plus.
- Testing Enthusiast: Knowledge of PHPUnit or Cypress.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Experience with New Relic or similar tools.
- Version Control Savvy: Proficient in Git.
- Finance Enthusiast: Interest in financial systems and processes; experience in FinTech development is a plus.
- Team & Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).
