About the Role

The Siemens Technology business unit “AI, Analytics and Digital Twin” is looking for an experienced Multiphysics Simulation Engineer to join our team in Munich. Our team is developing advanced simulation and optimization technologies which contribute to Siemens’ overall success. This includes the development of methodologies and tools for the design and optimization of complex systems through the entire lifecycle across various domains. You will be part of a highly motivated, international team of experts in the field of simulation and optimization. Your Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Multiphysics Simulation Engineer with a strong background in computational mechanics, numerical methods and optimization techniques to contribute to our research and development activities. This includes the development of new algorithms, the implementation of prototypes and the application of these technologies to real-world problems. The role involves close collaboration with internal and external partners from industry and academia. Your responsibilities include:

• Development and implementation of advanced multiphysics simulation and optimization algorithms.
• Application of these algorithms to solve complex engineering problems.
• Collaboration with internal and external partners to identify new research directions and to transfer research results into industrial applications.
• Publication of research results in scientific journals and at conferences.

What You Bring

• PhD or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in multiphysics simulation and optimization.
• Strong background in computational mechanics, numerical methods, and finite element analysis (FEA).
• Experience with commercial simulation software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, Comsol, LS-Dyna) and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
• Experience with HPC environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international team.
• Fluency in English is required. German language skills are a plus.
