Advanced/Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - Healthcare Integration & Platform

What You'll Do

As an Advanced/Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at Snke, you'll help shape the next generation of the platform and how it integrates with clinical systems, designing, building, and operating the services behind the mobile product, client-facing APIs, and the data flows connecting to hospital systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production backend services and APIs consumed by mobile and web clients.
• Work with clinical data and healthcare interoperability standards.
• Own service quality end to end: automated testing, CI/CD, observability, diagnosability in production.
• Produce the technical documentation and evidence required in a regulated development process.
• Contribute to architecture decisions across on-premise and cloud deployment models.

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience building and operating backend systems in production.
• Strong understanding of API design, data modelling, and distributed system architecture.
• Hands-on experience with containers, relational databases, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in a modern backend language (Python, Go, .NET, or Rust) and openness to working across technologies.
• An AI-native mindset, using modern AI-assisted development tools.
• Professional English communication skills; German is a strong advantage.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7), interface engines (Mirth, Rhapsody), DICOM and medical imaging workflows, and regulated medical software.
