About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ML Engineer/MLOps Specialist to join our innovative team dedicated to advancing next-generation virtual development for autonomous driving systems. In this role, you will focus on AI-based 3D reconstruction of real-world driving scenes and the development of intelligent traffic participants that mimic human behavior. Your expertise will be pivotal in evaluating cutting-edge Generative AI models to enhance simulation performance, designing scalable training and MLOps infrastructure, and optimizing GPU workflows for efficient model training and deployment. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, data scientists, and simulation specialists to ensure high-quality validation of driver assistance systems and synthetic data generation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of mobility by leveraging state-of-the-art AI technologies and simulation workflows, directly impacting the development of safer, smarter autonomous vehicles.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field. Several years of professional experience in ML Engineering or MLOps are required, with hands-on expertise in model quantization, compression, architecture optimization, and experiment design. A deep understanding of modern AI model architectures, training pipelines, distributed learning, and GPU optimization techniques is essential. Candidates should be proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Rust, and familiar with CUDA, API design, testing, and debugging across the stack. Knowledge of 3D authoring tools like Blender, glTF, Unreal, or RoadRunner, as well as experience in 3D scene creation or algorithmic 3D reconstruction, will be advantageous. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in an agile environment are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

You will evaluate and select state-of-the-art Generative AI models to improve simulation fidelity and performance. Designing and managing scalable training pipelines and MLOps infrastructure is a core aspect of your role, including implementing distributed training, automated evaluation pipelines, and optimizing cloud or on-premise compute resources. You will optimize GPU toolchains, scheduling, profiling, and resource allocation to ensure rapid and reproducible training cycles. Contributing to the simulation of driver assistance systems, you will evaluate the quality of simulation outputs concerning the toolchain and model behavior. Collaborating within an agile, interdisciplinary team, you will develop innovative solutions for AI-based 3D scene reconstruction, synthetic data generation, and traffic participant modeling. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of model performance, robustness, and reproducibility, ensuring that simulation environments meet the rigorous requirements for autonomous vehicle validation.
