About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT System Engineer (m/w/d) to join our IT-Operations team at our Nürnberg location. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in advancing our modern workplace and cloud environment, with a particular focus on expanding and optimizing our Microsoft-Cloud footprint. Your expertise will support the ongoing development, professionalization, and sustainable operation of our digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless IT services for our employees worldwide.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Workplace team, providing second-level support, troubleshooting, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance our IT environment. You will be responsible for managing and developing our Microsoft 365 environment, maintaining hybrid identity systems, automating routine tasks, and participating in various IT projects that drive digital transformation within the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a completed apprenticeship as a Fachinformatiker (m/w/d) for System Integration or an equivalent qualification. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365 administration, is essential. Prior experience in IT support or system operations, especially within hybrid environments combining on-premises Active Directory and cloud services, is highly desirable.

Additional skills include a strong interest in automation, process improvements, and structured IT operations. Proficiency with PowerShell, Graph, and automation platforms such as Azure Logic Apps, PowerAutomate, and Azure Runbooks will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate a structured and independent working style, excellent analytical skills, and fluency in German and good English language skills to facilitate effective communication within an international team.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

Managing and enhancing our Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, and Intune.Supporting our hybrid identity and workplace infrastructure, integrating on-premises Active Directory with cloud services.Providing second-level support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues related to workplace and cloud environments.Analyzing system issues, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring minimal downtime.Developing, documenting, and refining IT processes and operational workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.Automating repetitive tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools to streamline operations.Contributing to the expansion and management of endpoint management systems, including Intune and Autopilot.Participating in IT projects, such as deploying new tools, cloud services, or process improvements.Maintaining comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
